Aloo (Potato) Fry (Preparation time 15- 20 min) – Calorie 485 kcal

Alu - 1/2 kg
Red Chilli pd - 1 1/2 tsp
salt - 1 tsp
Jeera or cumin seeds - 1 tsp
oil - 150 gms
Turmeric - 1/2 tsp

Method :

 Boil Aloo (Potato) and place on a strainer. Cut them into small pieces.
 Pour oil in a frying pan and fry it golden brown and until it becomes crisp
 Avoid excess of oil from the pan and add cumin seeds, chilli powder, salt and mix it thoroughly
 Don’t place lid on the pan to avoid softening of the fried pieces

Optional:

Garlic pieces can be added if desirable

Do’s:

Can be served when hot with rice
Can be served to under weight and school going children adolescent age groups as it is rich in carbohydrates and energy.

Dont's :

Can’t be served to obese persons and diet conscious.
