Arulmigu Chokkalingeswarar Alayam is an ancient and special Siva Temple situated at Perianaickenpalayam, on the Coimbatore - Mettupalayam Main Road, 20 kms away from Coimbatore Railway Junction.

Normally in most of the Siva Temples in Tamilnadu, the Sanctum Sanctorum faces east; but here the main deity, Lord Chokkalingeswarar is facing west, which is a unique feature. Another special feature of this temple is that all the deities are with their consorts. During the seventies the temple was totally in a dilapidated condition. In order to renovate and for day-to-day maintanance and poojas, a Society was formed under the name and style of "Perianaickenpalayam Thiruvarul Thavaneri Manram".

On 21-03-1976 the First Stage Thiruppani (Renovation) was initiated and "Ashta Bandhana Maha Kumbabishekam" was performed during 1977 by eminent personalities. The temple administration has been efficiently functioning ever since.

Located at 18 kms from Coimbatore on Mettupalayam Road.
